Fred Coker will talk about the (NEU) visit to Palestine, visiting East Jerusalem, Jaffa, and the ‘West Bank’ during February 2023.

Jenny Christopher will talk about her visit to schools in the West Bank and their meetings with NGO’s fighting for the rights of children and young people in Palestine.

Sue Piper will talk about her recent trip to the West Bank and Gaza with The Hands Up Project and about some of the amazing kids, teachers and groups she met out there.

Fred Coker

He first visited Palestine in 1987, filming a major International Conference on Palestinian Folklore. He is now working here with the Northwest Film Archive and the Palestinian National Music Conservatory, towards providing to archives in Jerusalem and Ramallah digital copies of unique performances by Palestinian musicians, dancers and poets recorded at that 1987 Conference.

Jenny Christopher

Jenni Christopher is International Solidarity Officer for Oldham NEU and campaigns tirelessly on peace, justice and equality for all. This was her first visit to Palestine.
