Take action at a high street Barclays branch near you: demand the bank sever its financial ties to companies supplying Israel with weapons and military technology used to assault Palestinians.
In 2023, Israel has continued its brutal militarised attacks on Palestinians. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in military invasions, assassinations and bombing campaigns. These attacks are a feature of Israel’s system of military occupation and apartheid against Palestinians.
Israel’s violence is made possible because of its trade in arms with countries around the world, including the UK, and the complicity of companies and banks that continue to aid Israel’s violence – including Barclays.
Our research has uncovered that Barclays invests over £1billion+ in arms companies supplying Israel. This includes Boeing, who produce the Apache attack helicopter which Israel has used to fire missiles at Palestinians during attacks on Jenin refugee camp, and Elbit Systems, which produces armoured drones used to brutalise Palestinians, including its repeated bombardments of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Palestinians continue to stand firm and defend their communities against Israel’s violence. They have called on us to take action in solidarity with their struggle, including through pressuring financial institutions, like Barclays bank, to divest from companies facilitating the violence they face.
On 23 September 2023, take action in solidarity with Palestinians resisting Israel’s violence to demand Barclays #StopBankingOnApartheid.
