11th Sep 2016 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

On 11 September 2016 join Saddleworth Palestine Women’s Scholarship Fund on a guided walking tour taking in some of the most well know sites associated with Manchester’s social and political history. We will meet at 1.30pm at Manchester Victoria Station, under the tiled map. Our guided tour will include:

  • Peterloo and the popular reform movement
  • The Free Trade Hall – suffragettes to the sex pistols
  • Manchester Cathedral, Abraham Linclon and the campaign against slavery
  • Alan Turing and gay rights

A long time supporter of the Scholarship Fund, is generously donating his time and expertise to guide the walk. There will be no charge but donations will be gratefully received on the day. The walk is around 2 miles on the flat, will last around 2.5 hours and end at Piccadilly Gardens.

Please join us on what will be a fascinating and illuminating tour and help us raise money for women’s education in Gaza. We look forward to seeing you.
