All out in Manchester on Saturday 29 March, 12pm, Piccadilly Gardens. Stop Israel’s theft of Palestinian lands.

On 30 March 1976, Palestinians who remained on their lands after the 1948 Nakba rose up against Israeli plans to confiscate more lands. Mass demonstrations were ignited across the streets of colonised Palestine, in defiance to Israel’s colonial project and reaffirmation of belonging to the land. As expected, Israel responded with brutality, shooting dead 6 Palestinians.

Every year since then, Palestinians mark the 30 of March as Land Day, and as their never-ending promise to remain steadfast and defend their land from Zionist theft.

In 2018, Palestinians in Gaza marked the anniversary by seizing their right to break free from the siege and return to the lands they have been displaced from in 1948, in what is called The Great March of Return.

In their masses, Palestinians in Gaza have tried to return to their lands knowing full well the Israeli snipers await them, teaching the world a lesson in the meaning of resistance and sacrifice for land and freedom. Israeli murder machinery killed over 250, and injured over 10,000 during the marches. It is the same Gaza that now is having to endure an even harsher reality, as it lives the nightmares of genocide.

For decades Palestinians have had to suffer forced displacement, ethnic cleansing land theft. And now Gaza is having to face the culmination of Israel’s colonial aggression, and the West Bank is still being raided, its residents displaced while vile settlers are stealing more lands and attacking homes.

In spite of it all, Palestinians have always resisted, and remained steadfast on their land, a sacrifice we will always honour and never take for granted.

We commemorate Palestinian anniversaries with an unwavering promise: we will always stand by the Palestinians and their struggle for land, freedom and justice. So join us on Saturday, 12pm, Piccadilly Gardens.
