Event Type

Calling MMU students and wider community next Tuesday Displaced Palestinian Voices event at 2pm!

Join us for a discussion on the forced displacement and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and what we can do to stand in solidarity with them in the struggle against Zionist settler colonialism.

We invite MMU Students and supporters of Palestine to gather in discussion around the historic and current forced displacement Israel inflicts onto Palestinians, from the Nakbe to the 40,000 Palestinians forced out of the West Bank since the start of this year alone.

We will read testimonies from those in Gaza and learn about the resistance to displacement that always has and always will exist. Finally, we will tie this into one of our main local BDS targets Booking.com, and explore how they contribute to upholding and legitimising illegal Israeli settlements. If you want to learn, to meet people who feel the same as you and take more action for Palestine – come along!

With Israel’s escalated aggression in Gaza, ongoing massacres and forced displacement, it is more important than ever that we take action and educate ourselves on how we can challenge this injustice. See you there!

Location – MMU Student Union Conference Room
Date – Tuesday 25th March
Time – 2-4.30
