Join us this Saturday 3rd May in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester at 12pm to stand with Palestine. Stop the Genocide – Solidarity with Palestinian Workers!

Over 19 months of genocide. 18 years of siege. 77 years of occupation. All suffered by Palestinians at the bloodied hands of settler-colonial Israel.

The conditions in Gaza are unfathomable. There is no food, no water, no fuel and supplies are depleting rapidly. If Palestinians are not being murdered by Israel through never-ending airstrikes, they are killed through starvation, dehydration and intentional denial of access to proper medical treatment. Make no mistake, this is not by chance or coincidence; this is a deliberate suffocation by Israel of an occupied and besieged population.

Amongst the tens of thousands on the ever-increasing list of martyrs, 232 journalists and over 1,000 medical workers in Gaza have been killed over the course of the genocide. Palestinian workers have refused to be dissuaded and continued their honourable fight for justice and survival, all the while being targeted by Israel for daring to do so. Working tirelessly to tend to the dire wounds and speak the necessary truths, they have served as a lifeline for the survival of their people.

As ever, the British government is unwavering in its support of Israel, supported by biased media conglomerates such as the BBC which continue to, at best, refuse to take a factual and truthful stance on genocide, and at worst, peddle Israel’s propagandised narrative in justification of Palestinian suffering. Whilst Palestinian workers are being shot dead in the streets, bombarded as they tend to the masses, and imprisoned for their refusal to submit, Britain is facilitating and funding the very oppressive power committing such atrocities with impunity.

The commemoration of International Workers’ Day comes with the stark reminder that rights have always been fought for by the people. If we wish to see effective change, we must demand it, much like the Irish supermarket workers who banded together and refuse to handle goods imported from apartheid South Africa over 40 years ago.

The genocide in Gaza and the occupation of Palestine will one day end because of the resolve of the people, not the morality of self-proclaimed democratic leaders. We, the people, must united to denounce, reject and demand an end to British support for Israel.

Join us in Piccadilly Gardens to stand with Palestinian workers. Saturday 3rd May – 12pm.
