All out in Manchester on Saturday, 17 January, 12pm, St. Peter’s Square. Stop bombing Gaza. Stop Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestine!
The genocide in Gaza has not ended. Since the start of the ceasefire, Israel has killed 425 Palestinians, wounded over 1189 and banned the activity of 25 aid organisations. Since the start of winter, displaced Palestinians have been drowning in their tents, and babies are freezing to death. Israel sought to make Gaza even more uninhabitable, destroying all vital lifelines. Thousands of wounded and diseased are facing the threat of death as shattered hospitals are still unable to function.
Israeli monstrosity does not stop there. In the West Bank, last month Israel approved the construction of 19 new settlements, stealing more Palestinian lands. Since October 2023, more than 1720 settler arracks on Palestinians were documented. In the Naqab in 48 Palestine, thousands of Palestinian bedouins are facing the threat of expulsion as Israel plans to establish more settlements to attract more settlers to the area.
The Zionists’ ethnic cleansing of Palestine, ongoing for more than 77 years, knows no limits*. Israel was built at the expense of the Palestinians, and its colonial project sustains itself through the further displacement of Palestinians, through all forms. It is a project that was facilitated by the British establishment, and is still being armed and supported by Britain, its governments, companies, media and academic institutions.
We have always said that our solidarity with Palestine will continue until Palestine is free. This is the time to prove that we mean it. It is our duty to keep Palestine on the frontlines of our struggle, no matter how much the British establishment tries to silence and criminalise us for the sake of protecting Israel and British interests in the region. So join us on Saturday, 17 January, 12pm, St. Peter’s Square!
