MANCHESTER BANNER DROP – STOP GAZA GENOCIDE

MANCHESTER BANNER DROP - STOP GAZA GENOCIDE

When

12th Apr 2025
12:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Event Type

Join us this Saturday 12th April on Hulme Arch Bridge, Manchester at 12pm for a banner drop in solidarity with Palestine!

Palestinians in Gaza have been subjected to over 18 months of genocide. Over the last week alone, we have witnessed Israel murdering tens more Palestinian men, women and children, including medical workers bombarded and journalists burned alive before our very eyes, adding to the ever-increasing list of martyrs now tens of thousands of names long.

We have learned by now that everything Israel does can be connected to Britain, as the British government is not only complicit, but is an active participant in the continuation and escalation of ethnic cleansing and settler-colonial brutality. The profiteers on British high streets benefitting from Israel’s colonisation of Palestine are galvanised by the government’s green light for Israel’s atrocities, shining unabated as Palestinian lives are being ripped apart.

It is British support for Israel that is keeping the cogs of settler-colonialism churning, be it through biased mainstream media conglomerates which deliberately avoid criticism of Israel, through the millions upon millions funnelled into genocide, apartheid and ethnic cleansing by way of British corporations and academic institutions, or through the intricate web weaved by weapons manufacturers such as Israel’s Elbit Systems which has entrenched itself deeply within British economy.

Israel has made it clear that it will not cease in its attempts to extinguish the lives and livelihoods of every single Palestinian, in its bloodthirsty quest to further its brutal regime. We, the people, have made it clear that the only correct response to British support for Israel is a complete and utter rejection of it.

We must channel the spirit of Palestinians as they remain steadfast in the fight against the Zionist regime. We must refuse to remain silent whilst Britain unashamedly and actively props up Israel as it decimates Palestine. The time to demand justice is now.

Rise up. Join us on Hulme Arch Bridge for the Big Banner Drop this Saturday 12th April – 12pm
