GAZA: THREE YEARS. WE REFUSE TO BE TIRED.
Wednesday, 7th October, marks three years since the start of this latest catastrophic assault on Gaza. For three complete years, we have gathered in the Oldham Peace Garden, and our voice will not be silenced. This is a crucial, solemn moment.
We need you on the bricks. Join Oldham Peace & Justice to hear Palestinian testimonies and, most powerfully, to help us read aloud the names and ages of some of the thousands of children murdered. To speak their names in our town square is a refusal of their erasure.
CRITICAL CHANGE: EARLIER START & MANCHESTER MOBILISATION
We need to make our presence unavoidable locally, but we also need to join the mass mobilisation in Albert Square, Manchester afterwards.
TO FACILITATE THIS, OUR VIGIL BEGINS 30 MINUTES EARLIER EARLIER.
THIS WEEK’S DETAILS:
DATE: WEDNESDAY 7th OCTOBER
CRITICAL EARLIER TIME: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
LOCATION: OLDHAM PEACE GARDEN, 5 UNION ST, OLDHAM OL1 1HA
We will hold space, mourn collectively, then we will travel from Oldham Peace Garden to Manchester at 5:00 PM to ensure Oldham’s voice is part of the massive city gathering at 6:00 PM.
