Not content with the over 20,000 children it has murdered over the course of two years in Gaza, the US-Israeli genocidal complex is currently expanding its murderous campaign to Iran, its first strike killing 152 elementary school children. It has also been bombing south Lebanon and displacing its people, escalating its violations of a so-called ceasefire.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer, after previously lying to the British public that the UK would not get involved, has decided to join the immoral US-Israeli invasion in contravention of international law, throwing its weight behind a project that will continue to use UK taxpayers money for death and destruction, even as UK citizens continue to struggle with homelessness, low wages and poverty.
But those poised to gain the most from this war of aggression are the ones operating on UK’s high streets. The banks such as HSBC, who, with their investments in Elbit, Israel’s largest private arms company, will gain millions from the blood of entire populations.
As long as war profiteers such as HSBC continue to operate normally and are never named and shamed, innocent lives in Gaza, Iran and across the entire region will continue.
As the world marks International Women’s Day next week, we will remember all those women bearing the heavy brunt of genocide and colonial and imperial violence, the ones that are starved, maimed, imprisoned, killed and displaced, a reality enabled by death factories and their financial backbone.
The status quo does not have to be like this. These companies operate on our doorstep. The valves of death are within our reach, and we should all take to the streets and escalate our actions in the face of the shameless murders conducted by the Zionist state and its backers, and until Palestine and the region is free!
