All out in Manchester on Saturday, 22 March, 12pm, Piccadilly Gardens. Stop Gaza genocide. Stop arming Israel!
Yesterday, the people of Gaza have had to endure another massacre in the hands of the Zionist entity.
Over 326 were killed, and 660 injured, while many are still under the rubble. It marked the deadliest day for Palestinian children in the history of Gaza. Last night, 14 more were killed by another airstrike, and the numbers keep rising.
Everything that the people of Gaza hoped has ended is back. The scenes of burning flesh; the scenes of torn bodies; the scenes of people burying their loved ones. This cannot be normalised. We must never let the annihilation of an entire population become regular news.
This bombing follows Israel’s decision to break the ceasefire and resume its genocide in Gaza. It also follows Israel’s countless violations of the ceasefire, through blocking entry of food and aid and shooting dozens. Meanwhile, the West Bank is still under attack, with tens of thousands displaced from their homes.
This would not have happened without the backing of the imperialist powers, Britain included. The Labour government has approved £10.9 million in arms export to Israel in its first three months of office. Imagine the amount of blood Britain has helped shed.
This is in addition to aiding the USA in a deadly attack on Yemen for its support for Gaza, killing 53 people. This all follows decades of British facilitation of Israeli crimes and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian.
We in Manchester have always been clear, our solidarity with Palestine will never stop until Palestine is free. We remain inspired by the Palestinians’ resistance and struggle for liberation. We will never abandon Gaza, and our voices will be heard on the streets, and in every corner infested with genocide-profiteers.
