Demonstration 11th January
12pm Piccadilly Gardens
Before last year, no country could commit a live, televised mass-slaughter of children, journalists or healthcare workers and be allowed to continue it daily for over a year.
Most shocking are the numbers Israel has murdered inside Gaza’s hospitals, with bombings, shellings and raids of healthcare facilities.
International Humanitarian Law is clear: healthcare workers and healthcare facilities are off limits. They must be protected at all times.
Only Israel, who are getting direct surveillance and arms support from Britain and who have just received another $8bn weapons promise from the US, can get away with blowing up and destroying 22 Gaza hospitals.
All this while every day entire extended families are bombed directly, using the equivalent ammunition of 6 atomic bombs dropped on Gaza since October 2023.
They are doing this for their ultimate goal – to ethnically cleanse Palestine, a war criminal project they have been carrying out since Israel was created on the rubble of Palestinian refugees in 1948.
Over Christmas, a time where most of the West is celebrating, the world watched in horror as the Kamal Adwan hospital director Dr Hussam Abu Safiya marched towards the tank as Israel destroyed it -the last main hospital in Northern Gaza.
Kamal had already lost his son, been injured himself and
detained, tortured and released. He, like so many other health workers, still carried on saving lives before being arrested again now with 100s more.
Patients who avoided death, hanging on to life with the agony of amputations, internal bleeding or 90% burns were either bombed again or evacuated amidst gunfire.
The courage in Gaza’s hospitals is the greatest one can imagine. They are keeping the possibility of Palestine alive.
We must forever raise ourselves, honour their bravery by standing for Palestine and all those resisting Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Take action, cut ties to this genocidal pariah state and demonstrate this Saturday 12pm in Piccadilly Gardens.
Make 2025 the year that justice arrives for Palestine.
