Ghassan Kanafani, Palestinian writer and revolutionary was only 36 when he was assassinated by israel on 8th July, 1972. As the youth of the streets fighting for Palestinian liberation, we must learn from Palestinian revolutionaries and understand their motivations to continue the struggle despite the hurdles placed in their way.
We’ll be joined by the translator of the Kanafani’s book: The Revolution of 1936–1939 in Palestine, Hazem Jamjoum, for a workshop about Ghassan Kanafani and copies of the book will be available to purchase on the evening. If you are a young person wanting to get involved in mobilizing for Palestine, this is also an opportunity to learn more about YFFP Manchester and get involved!
