Protest Against Israeli Support for the Jewish Film Festival

Manchester Jews for Justice for Palestinians invites you to join them in a protest at Cornerhouse, to stop people attending the Israeli-funded Jewish Film Festival on
Tuesday 18th November at 6.00pm – 7.15pm.

We are supporting the Palestinian people’s call for a boycott of cultural products of the Israeli regime.  The Jewish Film Festival clearly stated its backing by the Israeli state,UJIA and Kedem International (Its hidden it a bit now…as has the Cornerhouse, which originally denied to us any connection with the Israeli-backed Jewish Film Festival.) Now they are showing several films and hosting a talk on Tuesday (originally at 6.30pm by Stephen Margolis, Chair of UK Jewish Film Festival- but they may have changed it.)

When the Tricycle Theatre in London offered The Festival alternative funding to its Israeli backers, they insisted on maintaining the Festival as an Israeli cultural product…and threatened the Theatre with forced closure.

Please come and join us in this worthy protest.
