Report: Saddleworth Palestine Women’s Scholarship Fund Walk

Thanks to everyone who supported Saddleworth Palestine Scholarship Fund’s sponsored walk on Sunday 14 May – walkers, sponsors, those greeting us (and donating) at the end of the walk and, of course, those providing invaluable assistance behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly.

30 people, from afar afield as the Fylde coast and Birmingham walked the 8.5 miles between Marsden and Uppermill, taking in some stunning scenery. Money collected so far, plus pledges, means that we will raise over £3,500.
This is an amazing total and will fund at least 7 women in higher education for a full year of their studies.

The atmosphere on the walk and afterwards, when we shared tea and cakes, was wonderful. It was lovely to have some long standing friends of the Scholarship Fund join us and also to welcome some wonderful new supporters who we really hope to see again.

Thank you to everyone – I hope you like these photos which were taken on the day.
