The Government’s ‘Prevent Strategy’ imposes a legal duty on Public Sector workers (e.g. Education, Health, Social Services) to report anyone they think is likely to become “radicalized” or who has “extremist” views. This means reporting on pupils/patients/service users as well as work colleagues!

There is growing evidence that the ‘Prevent Strategy’ is being used to clamp down on opposition to government foreign policy in Schools and Universities.

Manchester PSC’s Clayton Doyle will discuss how the ‘Prevent Strategy’ is affecting critics of UK Government policies (both domestic & foreign), with a particular emphasis on Palestinian solidarity activism.
