Stop the liverpool arms fair

Rally:  Tuesday 12th October – Starting 7am
Old Wall Arch, Wapping / Gower Street L1 8LY

Arms deals are big business. An Electronic Warfare conference is due to begin 12th October at the Exhibition Centre close by the John Lennon Peace Memorial and the International Slavery Museum.

Liverpool City Council own the venue and its management company ACC Liverpool. When councillors met, after 3,000 people marched to protest against the arms fair, a motion to sack  the ACC directors was excluded, legal advice kept secret and councillors gagged.

Over 80 arms companies will be the fair, including:
Raytheon: the world’s 4th largest arms firm, whose Paveway bombs are used by Saudi-UAE coalition on Yemen. They also have a $2billion deal with the US government to supply nuclear cruise missiles
Elbit Systems: Israel’s largest private arms firm and manufacture of the military drones used to attack Gaza.
Israel Aerospace Industries: State owned manufacture of drone used to attack Gaza.
MBDA: Supplier of missiles used by Saudi-UAE coalition on Yemen.
