Speaker: Dr Swee Chai Ang

Dr Swee Chai Ang is the first female orthopaedic surgeon at Barts’ and the London hospitals. She worked for many years in the Palestinian refugee camps in Beirut, Lebanon, and is a survivor of the Sabra and Shatila massacres of 1982. She also worked in Kashmir after the 2005 earthquake and Gaza in the wake of the 2009 bombings.

She will be speaking about her experiences of working in some of the most challenging conditions imaginable.
