It has been over 700 days of a genocide in Gaza, where we have witnessed one of the worst war crimes committed against a besieged and colonised population. It is despicable that such unfathomable atrocities committed by Israel against the Palestinians are allowed to go on, undeterred and worsening by the day.
On top of siege, starvation, displacement and countless massacres, the Zionist regime is now targeting the high-rise buildings in Gaza, where thousands of displaced people are seeking shelter after having their homes flattened.
Israel has left no place safe in Gaza, and people are having no choice but to risk being bombed in what is left of their homes or in makeshift tents and shelters.
Israel is making its intentions very clear, which is what it knows best: perpetual occupation. After 77 years of ethnic cleansing across all of Palestine, this is what it has planned for Gaza, all the while tightening its grip over the occupied West Bank, where settlement expansion, military raids and invasions, imprisonment, vile settler attacks and threats of annexation and further displacement have become the norm.
It doesn’t even stop here. In the last week Israel has bombed Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia and Qatar. Israel has been allowed to operate with full impunity, knowing very well it has the backing of the global powers dominating this world.
This is what the British government is supporting and actively participating in, all to strengthen the colonial entity it implanted in the region.
But neither the Palestinian cause, the support of the global majority or the resistance on the ground has ever ended, something that should only be further inspiration to us in our solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for liberation.
