Words cannot capture the boundlessness of our grief for the immeasurable sacrifices of our martyrs. More than two years of monstrous, barbaric genocide. 18 years of siege on Gaza. 77 years of Zionist, colonial terror.
As a new year dawns, we see the miserable conditions savagely imposed on the glorious, esteemed nation that is the Palestinian people.
Daily murders totalling more than 400 people, at a time of so-called ‘ceasefire. Weak and flimsy tents battered by cold, harsh, winter rains. More than 10,000 political prisoners languishing in Zionist torture camps. Schooling denied to 650,000 children in Gaza. A crippling, suffocating siege that denies Palestinians shelter, food, medicines. Daily settler terrorism.
Their ceaseless torment is forever etched into our consciousness.
Our grief is not a fleeting emotion. It is an unbreakable covenant that ties us to the greatest of humanity, as they stand firmly against the forces of empire and colonialism, in honour and in truth to their dignity, their land, and their lives.
Liberation is not a merely a slogan – it is the only means of salvation from a world that expects nothing but a silent and slow death, for an entire nation of oppressed millions. Our promise is clear and true – that we never forget. Neither the genocide that still rages into a third year. Nor the colonial conspiracies that have dispossessed you for over a century.
That we resist the weight of the imperial boot that wants to trample over you. That we will honour each and every one of our martyrs. So join us to commemorate them.
