3 years of genocide in Gaza! Resistance until return! Join us in Manchester on Wednesday 7 October, 6pm, Albert Square.
This year we mark 3 years since the genocide began in Gaza. Since 7 October 2023, Israel has killed over 74,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including over 21,000 children, while many are still missing under the rubble. In spite of a so-called “ceasefire”, Israel has not stopped the bombing and shooting of Palestinians.
In the genocide, Israel has committed the most unfathomable atrocities known to humankind in modern history, destroying most of the enclave, including most if its infrastructure, buildings, schools, universities, hospitals and much more. It has also accelerated colonisation and murder in the West Bank, and expanded its genocidal war into Lebanon, and escalated its crimes in Iran in total impunity and with the backing of the US and Britain. We will never forget nor forgive!
Palestinians have for 3 years been killed by bombs, bullets, drones, tanks; have perished under rubble, in mass graves, in prison cells, in flimsy tents; have died from disease, cold, starvation and illness, all while the entire world has been witness and dragged its feet in taking any meaningful measures to halt the massacres. Surrounded, abandoned, imprisoned – Palestinians have continued to fight, reinventing resistance and asserting their existence.
3 years on from the genocide’s beginning and 78 years of the Nakba, Manchester will demonstrate to commemorate the martyrs of Gaza and Palestine, to reaffirm our commitment towards the Palestinians and their struggle for liberation.
*We reiterate our unconditional support of Palestinians and our total rejection of any engagement with them through Zionist narratives. The right of resistance and self-defense belongs only to the occupied population across historic Palestine. Liberation is inevitable, and Palestine will be free from the river to the sea.
So come out on October 7 to support the Palestinian people!
