All out in Manchester on 6 June, 13pm, to commemorate the Naksa. Meeting at Home Cinema, 2 Tony Wilson PI, following the film screening of Operation Recomply.
On 05 June, Palestinians commemorate the Naksa (Arabic for “setback”), when Israel finalised its occupation of all of Palestine, by occupying the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza, displacing thousands in the process.
Since then, Israel has enforced a brutal military occupation rule over Palestinians, the longest running in modern history. This includes the establishment of illegal settlements and the complete domination over every aspect of the Palestinians’ lives.
Whilst Israeli settlers roam free and prosper on lands not theirs, the Palestinians are having to navigate through checkpoints, a separation wall that divides their communities, a barbaric occupation army which conducts daily raids to Palestinian towns and villages, and daily attacks by vile settler on people and homes.
In Gaza, the occupation was followed by a medieval Israeli 18-year-long siege, accompanied by military assaults that have killed and injured thousands and have crippled Gaza’s infrastructure. All of this has escalated in a genocide since October 2023, where Israel has committed the most unimaginable crimes.
Words are unable to describe what the Zionist entity has subjected Palestinians to for over 78 years, and now its aggression is extending to Lebanon and beyond. But Palestinians have never remained passive, and have enacted courageous forms of resistance to liberate Palestine and to rid this world of Israel’s colonial regime. Standing on the frontline of one of imperialism’s worst creations-Israel-Palestinians have become an inspiration to entire peoples worldwide.
In our solidarity here in the country that has been complicit to the bone in Palestinian suffering for over a century, we will break the murder chain stretching from Britain to Israel’s hands, until Palestine is free from the river to the sea!
So join us on Saturday!
