Join us this Saturday 1st February on Hulme Arch Bridge, Manchester at 12pm for the Big Banner Drop! End Israeli Occupation! Resistance Until Return!

In the aftermath of genocide, 15 months of relentless and concentrated brutality, we, alongside Palestinians, must remain committed to the fight against the Zionist regime. Even against the backdrop of genocide, Palestinians in Gaza remained steadfast and rejected despair.

As we witness their return to the North and the freedom of Palestinian political prisoners, we must not lose focus and allow the suffering to have been in vain. Gaza has given us clarity, so now we must be what Gaza needs and ensure a total and permanent end to Israeli occupation.

Zionism, since its inception, has long established itself as settler-colonial poison administered to extinguish Palestinians. Israel, in its decades-long, bloodthirsty quest to expand its brutal regime, has made it abundantly clear that it will not cease until it is forcibly stopped. The brutality and occupation did not start on 7th October 2023, and it certainly did not end with the ceasefire agreement on 15th January 2025.

This is violently evidenced by the escalating destruction, executions and imprisonments happening across the West Bank, particularly in Tulkarem and Jenin.

Our duty in Britain, more than ever, is to dismantle Britain’s complicity in the atrocities being committed across Occupied Palestine. We refuse to remain silent as our government hands Israel the very weapons used to continue the colonisation of Palestine.

There is only the side of the oppressed and the side of the oppressor. We must choose accordingly and decide the future of this world for ourselves.

Resistance until return has been personified by Palestinians in Gaza, who did not relent and, with the power of the resistance, secured return to their lands. The right of return underpins the fight for a free Palestine, and we cannot stop until all displaced Palestinians can finally exercise this right. The freedom of Palestine is not an idea, it is a promise which must be fulfilled.
