Day School: we CAN and we WILL challenge corporate power!
This will be a day of education, information, discussion and turning this into action through encouragement of grass roots campaigns and planning protest at the G4S AGM.

This is because G4S is a serial human rights abuser, in the UK and across the world. It is not just that they cannot administer anything, to Olympic proportions of mismanagement, but that they are guilty of stealing public money and breaching human rights, including of those vulnerable people seeking asylum, people in youth protection, and Palestinian children held illegally in Israeli detention. They are not just incompetent but inhumane. During the day there will be contributions from:
- Cllr Mick Bowman (Newcastle) and Stop G4S campaign activists on legality of ethical procurement policies, local democracy and devolution.
- Corporate Watch on the way G4S is organised and the corporate complicity of G4S.
- South Yorkshire Migration and Asylum Action Group campaign on G4S housing contracts.
- The Community Action on Prison Expansion Campaign on corporations profiting from caging human beings.
- War on Want on G4S and the Prison Industrial Complex in Palestine.
- Palestine Boycott National Committee on International campaigns against G4S
