Monday, October 7th, 5pm at Whitworth Art Gallery, Oxfor Road, M15 6ER, Manchester.
On October 7th, as we mark a year of a genocide in Gaza, the University of Manchester is hosting the World Academic Summit, joined by senior leadership from all over the Britain and the world.
Universities’ management are meeting after a whole year of ignoring students’ demands to cut their ties with Israeli entities and the deadly arms trade. As Israel escalates its mass murder in Palestine and across the region it is crucial that British universities stop arming and enabling Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestine and beyond.
Students have been leading a struggle against their academic institutions’ complicity in Israeli crimes. Following last year’s powerful student campaigns and encampments across the world, we must and will continue with the same spirit of resistance to ensure the last tie with genocide-enablers is cut!
As students and seekers of justice we want to see the end of British complicity in the bloodshed and suffering of Palestinians once and for all, and we want to witness the freedom of Palestine from the river to the sea. We stand with Palestinians as they face Israeli colonial aggression, and we take inspiration from their resistance and steadfastness. As we bring the fight to our streets, where support to Israel is on every corner, we promise to keep going until we win!
So join our demonstration on Monday 07 October, 17:00pm at Whitworth Art Gallery, Oxford Road, M15 6ER, Manchester.
