Stop Gaza genocide. No schools in Gaza this year!

All out in Manchester on Saturday, 7th September, 12pm, Piccadilly Gardens. Stop Gaza genocide. No schools in Gaza this year!

As kids and students around the world go back to school, students in Gaza have no schools to go to. The Israeli murder machinery has destroyed all schools in Gaza.

Israel has killed 20,000 Palestinian children and displaced those that survived. While kids around the world are receiving education and thinking of their futures, Israel has destroyed the dreams of young students in Gaza, some currently with no shelter or food or any basic necessities.

This is not accidental. Everything Israel is committing is calculated. It plans to cripple an entire Palestinian generation and stifle their continuity. It is destroying every pillar of life and development, aiming to crush Palestinians physically and mentally.

While parents prepare their kids for school, remind them of their Palestinian colleagues who have no schools to go to. While you buy your kids new books remind them of the libraries and books the Israeli soldiers have filmed themselves setting on fire. While you nurture your kids, remember the orphaned, afraid, wounded Palestinian children.

However, we all must remember how Palestinians have found ways to manage the unfathomable situation, trying to care for one another and provide even a tiny bit of normalcy. By turning tents into classrooms the students have seized their rights to education even while living in run down tents, and tutors have committed to teach them with devotion even with little means available.

We do not take this resilience for granted. We only humble ourselves as we see people in Gaza finding ways to survive a genocide our government is so abhorrently participating in.

We cannot allow Israel to destroy the Palestinian society. We will continue until we see Palestinians living in dignity, and future generations living in their free homeland. So join the demonstration on Saturday, 12pm, Piccadilly Gardens!
