THE BIG RIDE for PALESTINE – NORTH WEST GROUP

Monthly Cycle Rides and Monthly mid-week Get-Togethers

The BIG RIDE for Palestine North West Group are organising a monthly cycle rides and monthly mid-week get togethers, starting in April, for people living in the North West, who are involved in, or thinking about getting involved in The Big Ride.

The first CYCLE RIDE will be on Sunday 26th April. We will do a 30 -35 mile cycle ride in Derbyshire, mainly on quite country roads, but with about 10 miles on cycle paths ( Tissington Trail and the Manifold Way). We will meet at Sparklow, which has a car-park about a mile along the Tissington Trail, just off the A 515. It’s just south of Buxton , with a grid reference of 127659. We’ll meet at the car-park for a 11.00am start.

Please contact Owen Cooper , mobile 07885 704937 ;or email : owencooper215@gmail.com for further information and to let him know if you’re planning to come.

There will be further cycle rides being planned for Sunday 24th May, Sunday 21st June and Sunday 12th July. Details about each ride will come out 3-4 weeks in advance.

The first MID-WEEK GET-TOGETHER will be on Tuesday 28th April. This will alternate between a ‘Meet and Eat’ evening one month and an ‘Evening Ride and Drink’ the other month. The ‘Meet and Eat’ evenings are particularly targeted at volunteers and those people supporting The Big Ride, and provide an opportunity to ask any questions about The Big Ride, as well as get to know fellow riders and supporters. This is a significant event and we want to build the momentum and enthusiasm for the event. We will meet at Falafel on Wilmslow Road in Rusholme at 7.00pm , and have some fantastic middle eastern food together. We can set the dates of future evenings on this night.

We hope you can make some of the rides or get-togethers as a way of generating enthusiasm for The Big Ride.
