UoM cut ties with Tel Aviv University now!

All out on Wednesday, 2.30pm, Whitworth Arch, Oxford Road, to demand UoM cut ties with Tel Aviv University now!

What more should happen for the University of Manchester to cut ties with entities built through ethnic cleansing? Clearly, 76 years of settler-colonialism and over a year of genocide are not enough!

Israeli universities are part and parcel of the Zionist murder machinery. Since their inception, they have allowed more theft of Palestinian land, and have provided support for the Israeli military. Only last week, Tel Aviv University invited its students for a day of volunteering in an army base! This is the social activity of Israeli so-called “academic” institutions: supporting a genocide! This complements years of providing financial and human resources, as well as knowledge and expertise, to the Israeli military.

For over a year, we have been taking action and demanding UoM cut these despicable ties with Israeli universities, as well as the arms trade. So far, the University has refused to take the right step.

On Wednesday, as the Board of Governors meet at the University, and after a year of ignoring our demands, we will raise our voices again and show that we will not rest until one very crucial decision is taken: the ending of partnership with Tel Aviv University!

No rest until British instituions end their complicity in the suffering of Palestinians. No rest until the the refugees have returned to their land of Sheikh Muannis, where Tel Aviv University is built, and all of Palestine is free! So join us on Wednesday, 2.30pm, at Whitworth Arch, Oxford Road!
