Gaza Kitchen 3

In order to focus on how Palestinian women resist Israeli repression and assert their identity, we have prepared a programme that we hope will provide a novel way of promoting BDS (Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions). We will examine how they retain their culture and pass it on to the next generation
through food, agriculture and writing.

Through our partnership with women in Gaza we have produced the following materials:
A short film, “Jameela’s Kitchen”,
A photo exhibition,
&
2 poems in performance: “Wala” by Susan Abulhawa and “We teach life, Sir” by Rafeef Ziadah.

In conjunction with this presentation, we have also produced recipe cards and beautiful books of Palestinian recipes and stories of Palestinian Women.

We hope you will enjoy our presentation and be encouraged by a new creative way of promoting BDS.
