The Rise of Political Zionism 1897 – 1948

Presenter: Kathy Brooks

Session Description: The specially commissioned film, ‘Episodes of Trauma in Gaza and the West Bank’, is the starting point from which Kathy invites us to consider the rise of Zionism. We will discover how this political philosophy, aided by successive world powers, led to the 1948 creation of the State of Israel, the dispossession of the Palestinian people, and the ongoing Nakba (Catastrophe) that we see today.
