All out in Manchester on Wednesday, 12 February, 1pm, Whitworth Arch, Oxford Road. Ceasefire Today. Boycott Israel Until Liberation. UoM Cut Ties with Tel Aviv University Now!

As we enter the second academic semester, we, staff and students in UoM, remain firm in our struggle to force the University to cut its deadly ties with Israel.

After 15 months of the genocide in Gaza, ongoing raids to Palestinian towns and refugee camps in the West Bank, on top of 76 years of ethnic cleansing, UoM still maintains ties to Israeli academia. These institutions fuel Israeli violence with research, military expertise and human resources, performing as academic army bases covered in the facade of academia and pursuit of knowledge.

Palestinian blood spilt by Israel’s genocide and decades of occupation does not count so far as UoM is concerned and they maintain their grotesque partnership with Tel Aviv University. So it is us who must ensure Zionism has no place in our universities.

We enter the semester while Palestinians in Gaza are finally having the long-awaited relief of a ceasefire, but this does not mean our actions end. We are seeing Israeli terror and savagery still unleashed in Jenin, Tulkarem, Tubas and across all of the West Bank, displacing entire families, destroying infrastructure and besieging hospitals. We must be intensifying our boycott campaigns here as Israel is deepening its occupation of Palestine and the atrocities are continuing everyday.

We are fueled and inspired by the bravery and steadfastness of the people of Gaza returning to their homes and remain standing in spite of Israel’s relentless attempts to wipe them out, and as long as Palestinians resist we here will fight until there is full justice, freedom and return. So join us on Wednesday, 12 February, 1pm, Whitworth Arch, Oxford Road.
