All out on Wednesday 21st May to demand that UoM cut ties with Tel Aviv University.
Just a few days ago, more than 250 Palestinians were massacred in Gaza, following a spate of intense bombings. This is while TAU continues to proudly advertise its collaborations with Israel’s most elite arms companies and its contribution to the IOF’s military arsenal. Last week, we saw the product of these contributions – the murder of more than 250 people in one night.
For 18 months, scenes of horror have filled our phones and social media so intensely that we think we have seen the worst. But at every turn the occupation shows that worse is yet to come.
It is a crime that institutions like Tel Aviv University will create weapons of mass murder yet will parade around with full support and partnership from the University of Manchester. It is a crime that senior leadership are aware of the destruction and suffering their decisions cause yet put their greed for profit above the lives of an entire population. It is a crime that yet again, we have no choice but to confront the senior leadership team, and demand that our tuition money not be used to kill our fellow human beings.
The Palestinian people remain steadfast in their resistance, despite the horror raining down upon them, and we must do all we can to support them.
We have no choice after seeing the horror of the past few days but to keep on protesting the University’s ties to a genocidal institution. This is the absolute minimum we can do in the face of the worst crimes we have seen in modern history.
So join us on Wednesday 21 May at 5pm to demand the University of Manchester’s board of governors to cut these deadly ties once and for all!
