Stop Israel’s genocide in Gaza! Full arms embargo on Israel now! Join us in Manchester on Saturday, 10 October, 2pm, Piccadilly Gardens.
This year we mark 3 years of genocide in Gaza. Since 7 October 2023, Israel has killed over 74,000 Palestinians, including over 21,000 children, while many are still missing under the rubble. In spite of a so-called “ceasefire”, Israel has not stopped the bombing and shooting of Palestinians.
In the genocide, Israel has committed the most unfathomable atrocities known to humankind in modern history, destroying most of Gaza, including most of its infrastructure, buildings, schools, universities, hospitals and much more. It has also accelerated colonisation and murder in the West Bank, and expanded its genocidal war into Lebanon and Iran in total impunity and with the backing of the US and Britain.
Palestinians have for 3 years been killed by bombs, bullets, drones, tanks; have perished under rubble, in mass graves, in prison cells, in flimsy tents; have died from disease, cold, starvation and illness, all while the entire world has been witness and dragged its feet in taking any meaningful measures to halt the massacres. In fact, the British establishment was an active participant in the genocide, providing Israel with weaponry used to commit the most heinous crimes. Even now, as British leaders are supposedly taking measures against Israel, ones that are weak and insufficient to begin with, they are still refusing to enforce a full arms embargo on Israel. Our demands remain the same: stop arming Israel!
After showing up to mark 3 years of genocide on 7 October, Manchester will take to the streets again, to commemorate the martyrs of Gaza and Palestine and to reaffirm commitment towards the Palestinian struggle for liberation.
We reiterate our unconditional support of Palestinians and their resistance. Liberation is inevitable, and Palestine will be free from the river to the sea. So join us on 10 October!
