All out in Manchester for the demonstration outside the Turkish Embassy on Monday Nov. 11th at 6pm, assembling at St. Peter’s Square.
50% of the the total oil imported by Israel passes through Türkiye. Of this amount, 30% of is crude oil from Azerbaijan, which is transported by the BP-owned BTC pipeline. The pipeline terminates in Ceyhan, Türkiye. From there, the oil is shipped to Israeli ports. This oil is used to fuel fighter jets and military vehicles central to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Join us on an international day of action with groups in the Ireland, the US, Spain, Cyprus, Croatia, Japan, Türkiye and more outside of the Turkish embassy on Monday 11th November to pressure the Turkish state to stop supplying oil to the Israeli war machine.
By extracting, selling, and transporting oil to Israel which is then used to carry out genocide throughout Palestine and now Lebanon, the Azerbaijani, Georgian, Kazakh, and Turkish governments are complicit in Israel’s mass murder and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. If they refuse to follow international law and cut the Zionist entity off, then we must hold them accountable.
November 11th is the first day of the UN Climate Change Conference, COP, held in Azerbaijan. This marks the beginning of a week of actions targeting the facilitators of the oil pipeline used to fuel Israel’s genocide of Gaza. Here in Manchester, we join comrades in London who have been taking action and mobilising against the genocide-profiteers fuelling the genocide.
It’s crucial we come out in numbers and demonstrate outside the consulate, to draw global attention to the specific crimes these governments are committing. Whilst the Turkish government has publicly spoken out in support of Palestine, they continue to support them behind the scenes.
We have to expose this hypocrisy and pressure them to cut Israel’s energy off at the source. So join us Monday 11th at 6pm assembling at St. Peter’s Square, and demand an Energy Embargo for Palestine Now!
