As Israel continues to bomb Gaza, the students of the University of Manchester will continue to demand that the university examines the ethical affiliations of the companies it chooses to work with. The University of Manchester cannot deny its affiliations with Israeli defence sector while it continues its partnerships with companies that directly supply material built through, to quote the graphene institute, the “engineering and market expertise at the university’s disposal” It cannot continue to deny its affiliations with the Israeli defence sector when it works with companies embroiled in the Israeli military.
